Beaches in Estepona and Costa Del Sol

Just to let you know that there are some areas in Estepona which can be used as overnight stops for Camper-vans.

I have seen several parked where I live, and one or two have actually stayed in the same spot for a couple of weeks.

If you are travelling down to the Costa Del Sol in a Camper-van although it strictly is not really allowed there does seem to be some sort of turning of the eye for overnighters on some of the beaches.

I have met some lovely people who have parked up over night from all over Europe.

Travelling through from Morocco or just journeying down from France to Southern Spain.

There are some lovely spots in the mountains where you could possibly stay overnight, with spectacular views - not much else up there.  For birdwatchers it is a paradise, I have seen some stunning aerial displays.

Watching hawks from their flying high in the sky swooping down to their families hidden in the brush beneth.
Watching swallows dipping and diving. Also I have spotted some little wagtails.

So all in all it is a great place to walk and rest.

Happy caravanning and camping.

Next year you may find me on the road too.

There are some excellent camping parks down here on the Costa Del Sol as well.

Plans for next summer - touring

I have a lovely house here in the south of Spain, Estepona which next year I am hoping to rent out for the summer so that I can do some touring of my own.

I would love to visit Portugal, and parts of  as they are nearest to me, however I may also take a trip up to the UK to visit my friends and family.

Camping with the dog is always interesting as you have to hunt for just the right place and for driving not too long distances all in one go.  However,  I enjoy driving and am looking foward to getting my adventure on the go.

If there are any other campers out there who travel with their dogs could recommend some good sites to visit I would appreciate your help.

I would also appreciate some tips on local stop over places - if people have stopped in interesting stopovers I would love to hear from you. suecaroline@hotmail.co.uk
